Infusion pump

Tests with the implantable infusion pump Siromedes have shown that magnetic resonance imaging applications (MRI) up to 3 Tesla do not affect the operation of the infusion pump. However, diagnosis is impaired by appearance of artifacts.


At a field strength of up to 1.5 Tesla, the use of the locating system is not affected by an MRI application. At a field strength of 3 Tesla, the sensitivity of the location system may be reduced after the MRI application.
