The implant has not been tested for safety and compatibility in the case of postoperative investigation using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). However, the implant is mainly made with dimethyl siloxane and non metalic component which are non-ferromagnetic in these quantities according to literature. Moreover, the implant is presented as MRI safe in the mrisafety.com database with 1,5 and 3 Tesla. Consequently, the Bioring® is considered MR safe.
