BARD 3D Max Light Mesh is made of monofilament polypropylene and the BARD Ventralex Mesh is also made of a monofilament polypropylene with PTFE monofilament stitching. This material is non-metallic, non-conductive, and non-magnetic, and, therefore, considered MRI Safe. BD/BARD has not tested the either the 3D Max Light Mesh or Ventralex Mesh in an MRI System. Some BD/BARD Mesh products are secured with staples or tacks when surgically placed which may not be MRI safe.
