AcrySof™ IOLs are magnetic resonance (MR) safe. The IOL consists of acrylate/ methacrylate copolymer material for the optic and acrylic, poly(methyl methacrylate) polymer, which are both non-conducting, non-metallic, non-magnetic materials that pose no known hazards in all magnetic resonance imaging environments.
